KEYC-TV: Shaping Mankato’s Future, a Timely Conversation

EXCERPT: “The Greater Minnesota Resiliency Network led a public conversation on April 13 focusing on bettering the Mankato Community. Composed of five community groups, the Greater Minnesota Resiliency Network’s event., Shaping Our Future: A Timely Conversation, consisted of community members of all ages and was a reboot of past discussions. ‘It’s based off a community conversation that happened about five years ago that was very successful, so we’re just coming back to this idea of getting everyday people together to discuss some of the problems we’re up against, but also opportunities to move forward together toward a brighter future,’ said Paul Ebbenga, founder of Blue Earth Project, a non-profit with efforts going toward clean water and sustainable agriculture. Community member, Katie Boone, says the conversations took action in the creation of Mankato Area Zero Waste, which is now a city program focused on reducing waste in all forms.” FULLSTORY: http://bit.ly/2Ul3xt1
